The Maefs family came over from Germany in 1901 through Hamburg Germany, Alexander Maefs with his wife Pauline (Dohan) with an infant sons Otto and Louis. I am trying to find out where Alexander Maefs came from (Germany?) and if the name changed upon emmigration to the US. Family tradition has the family comming from Alsace-Loraine. |
