I have been able to find some family members that we know are directly related to us, even though we did not do the DNA testing.
Our Hoxter Family started out in Delaware and migrated to Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Along these migrations the family lost contact for one reason or another and it is now left to my generation and the younger ones to find out where and who we are.
We were all told that Indian blood was a part of our heritage. My grandfather was reported to be half indian. On the census for 1880 his family is reported as mulattoes.
I am only interested in finding out where we came from. I am not trying to prove anything to anyone except accurate information.
