My interest lies in three surnames: Maes, Madrid and Trujillo. The Trujillo surname appears to be from the New Mexico area. The Madrid name appears to be from Spain arriving in Vera Cruz, Mexico in the early to mid 1800's and then into New Mexico. The Maes name may be of European (Belgian/German)descent also arriving in New Mexico.
