Ephraim Moffitt and the Maffitt's of Northern Indiana

I hope to trace and list my Maffitt (Moffitt) linage which includes several generations of Maffitt's (Mansfield, Russell, and John) that settled and lived in Northern Indiana. My Great Great Grandfather, Ephriam Moffitt move from Tennessee to Nothern Indiana in the early 1800's. I hope to fill in this history and find the ancestor that imigrated to the United States, perhaps to North Carolina.
