The Magera family as I know it is from Glenolden, PA. I am trying to assemble information about my ancestors believed to have migrated for Austria\Hungary. I have original photos from the old country in folders with the names of Hungarian cities on them. My mother (Anna Greisiger Magera) and father (John Joseph Magera) often said they were from Georgenburg, Austria.
Dad came over to this country when he was 16 on a ship named The Hanover. Dad came to this country in January 1900. He alleged this was the second trip this ship made across the ocean. His father was Michael Magera and his mother was Anna Kubicz
Dad came from a family of eleven, but only the last three lived. Dad, Joseph and a sister named Anna. Anna later married, and her
married name was Anna Magera Berks. She never came to this country and family photo markings conclude she lived in Hungary.
Any information on this family would be appreciater.
