* The Magner-Levesque Home Page*

Updated November 13, 2000

I have been researching the Magner and Levesque families for the past few years. The Magner Family originates in Ballyhooly, County Cork, Ireland, most likely in Castletownroche. My research brought me back to my gr,gr.gr. grandparents, James Magner and Mary Maloney, both born arount 1810. My gr.gr. grandparents, Edward Francis Magner and Mary Ellen McCoy, immigrated to Connecticut around 1865. Other family names on the Magner side are Claven, Grady, Heller, Hines, Horan, Skidd and McCoy. On the Levesque side I go back to Pierre Levesque, husband of Marie Caumont, married in 1616, Rouen, Normandie, France. They are my 9th gr. grandparents. Other names on the Levesque side are Toth, Vaillancourt, Gagne dit Bellevance, Cote', Letourneau, Meunier, Chamberland, Hudon, Berube', Aubert, Chevalier, Soucy, Boucher, Baucher dit Morency, Dube', Rioux, Choret, Michaud, Leclerc, Mallet, Liger, Tamas, and Pall, to name a few. The search continues.
