The Tower was burned down by vandals after Hiram passed away. The pond was used by many for skating on. The pond was drained and a boulevard was put in after the land was given to the city to be used as parkland.

Herron Row was a housing developement the city put in on land given by William Herron to be used as a park. William had put in deed restrictions that prohibited the city from using the land for anything but a park.
