Drawer 4, Packet 0027, Estate 1830 THOMAS BOUCHER. Administrator & Executor's Bond stating that Ann Boucher has been duly appointed guardian for Joseph J. Boucher, heir, minor of Thomas Boucher.
dated August 15th, 1845 (Shelby County, Alabama)

State of Alabama, Shelby County, Know all men by these presents, that we are held and firmly bound unto Leonard Tarrant, Judge of the Orphans' Court of the county aforesaid in sum of 600.00 to be paid to the said Leonard Tarrant or his succesor in office to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, jointly, severally and firmly by these presents, Sealed and dated this
February 15, 1830 Ann Boucher, appointed guardian of all goods, chattels, rights and credits of Joseph Jasper Boucher, ward of thomas Boucher deceased.signed by Ann Boucher, Larkins Cathorn, James Bullard, (unable to read last name)

The State of Alabama, Fayette County TO the Honorable Judge of Shelby County Court\
Whereas Ann Boucher hath been appointed guardian by the last will and testament of Thomas Boucher deceased of Joseph Jasper Boucher, son of said deceased and hath appeared in this court and gave Felix Wood and Thomas Moore both of this county as security to said guardianship and the said guardian wishing to move to Shelby County this is therefore to authorize said court to recognize said Ann Boucher as guardian of said ward that said court may take new bond and security according to the unctions of the law in such cases that by a certificate from said court directed to this office the above securities may be released.
Inventory of Joseph Jasper property is one Negro girl named Jane which is bequeathed to Joseph Jasper Boucher but to remain with Ann Boucher the Mother of said Joseph Jasper Boucher who is his guardian of ( ? ) to said will.

The State of Alabama Fayette County I Daniel Peyton clerk of the county court in and for said county do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the property of Joseph Jasper Boucher minor heir of Thomas Boucher deceased as recorded in this office now in the hands of Ann Boucher his lawful guardian in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my own private seal there being as yet no seal of office in Fayette County given under my hand at office this 28th day of January 1830. \

Fact #2 1805-1806 he bought land in Lee Cty, Va. from heirs of James Campbell while a resident of Smith Cty, Tenn. (The Bouchers, Campbells & Peppers were appparently close and moved together)

1805 and 1812 Paid taxes in Warren Co Tenn. also may have been on tax rolls & militia rolls in
Smith Co, Tenn.
1809 Received 2 land grants in Tenn. for 231 acres
1813 Sold part of this to Robert Vaugh;n
Seminole War 1817-1818 Thoms Boucher served as 4 Sergeant, Thompson's Co. Alabama Militia.
1819 a Thomas Boucher signed as witness on a deed in Madison Co., Ala.
1819 bought land in Dallas Co., Ala. Owned 6 slaves
4/10/1827 and 7/2/1827 bought land in Fayette Co, Ala.
The second certifiate for land purchase had a note, "assignee of Joshua Boucher'
Elisha Boucher waws executor of Thomas Boucher's estate in 1830
