Updated July 2, 2007

This work and everything I do is dedicated to my mother,
Martha Christine Christopher Tiernan
Born - December 25, 1929
Died - July 1, 1984

Now 21,601 Names - Upd 29 June 2006!

This family tree database includes 6 United States Presidents, Fronteersman Daniel Boone and Benjamin Harrison, signer of the Declaration of Independence!

Persons with the following surnames in their family trees, please email me: Tiernan, Maguire, Walt, Faletti or Falleti, Christopher, Harlan, Harland, Zewe.

I am especially intrigued with the Tiernan's. I need info on Thomas Tiernan (b. 1776 in Ireland, d. in 1870 in Waukegan, Lake, Illinois). Records indicate that Thomas (married Bridget Dalton) came over to Montreal from County Meath or Mayo. They had many children. One, my great-great grandfather, Bartholomew (married Margaret Duff) was the father of James Francis Tiernan, James (married Helena "Lena" Zewe) was the father of Leo Bartholomew Tiernan, Leo (married Margaret Mary Walt) was the father of Paul Lawrence Tiernan and Paul (married Martha Christine Christopher) is the father of Mark Stephen Tiernan married Hiwatha Shead). Mark is my brother. This Tiernan line ends here; Mark does not have any children. This family line settled in Waukegan, Lake, Illinois, appoximately 1845-1850, and there are still many Tiernans in Lake County, Illinois.

What happened to Thomas' parents? Did they stay in Ireland? Who were his brothers and sisters? Where did they go to? If you have info, please email me.

I am equally interested in the Walt family. Please see my family tree files. Perhaps you are a decendent of David Walt (married Sarah ?), born on 9 November 1810 in Ontario, Canada.
