Researching Mahoney and related families including Joyce, Patton, Hickey, Maxwell, Haffner, Stefancsok, Eberle. Daniel O'Mahony came to the United States from Co. Cork Ireland via Quebec Canada in 1834, entering through into New York State and settling in Rochester, NY briefly before moving to Chicago, IL and finally settling in Brighton, WI in 1838. Daniel died in 1866 and his sons spread out acroos the midwest. One son, Timothy (b 1830)eventually settled in Boone Co, IA. Looking to share or trade information with any possible connections or interested parties. |
