"Dawn (Whisman) Maine's Page

Hi All! First time at this, so forgive the format!I am new to researching my family, and it is o.k. so far!
I am looking for relatives from my father's side of the family,
surname- Whisman, Goes back to Newby, and Stokley, and Barker.
Most of the Whisman's and Newby's lived in Kentucky and Indiana!
I am currently looking for information regarding my g.grandma Pearl (Stokley) Newby, her husband Joe Clayton Newby, and ANY information re: my g.g.grandma Marinda (Barker) Stokley. My father John Wayne Whisman believes that she had indian blood!
All these people are on my grandma's side.
I know hardly anything about my grandpa's side. Grandpa's name was John Botner Whisman, his mother's name was Georgia Maye and his dad was J.P. and was a preacher in Owensville, KY.
Any help or info about my family would be greatly appreciated!
