Stephen Shelton sent me an aggregate file of his work and that of Steve Dowbiggin (From Epping Green near London). According to Stephen's grandfather's bible, his father (John above) was born in 1852 in Settle. He died in Winnipeg, Canada sometime around 1920. One of Stephen's cousins, a Wilfred Dowbiggin at PO Box 105, St Norbert (near Winnipeg) Manitoba, R3V1L5, Canada is working with some of the other Dowbiggins of Winnipeg to help Stephen fill in some gaps in that branch.
