I started researching the Maier Surname in May of 2000 and now am excited to be receiving information, not only on my family, but also the Bohl's, Gerber's, Schauwecker's, Speck's, Scherler's, Easterwood's, Mahler's, Angell's, Hodnett's, Schmeckpepper's, Wehrenberg's, Falkenburger's, etc.
So far I have traced back to my great great grandparents in Neu Pasau, Syrmien, Austria-Hungary. This is now Serbia. My grandmother and grandfather Maier were distant relations before marriage and both of their names were Maier.
