Researching information on the following surnames: MAINARD, this spelling was changed from Menard around 1850. This family came from France, to Canada, to Iowa. HOFFSTOT, possibly spelled Hoffstodt, first name William. Born in 1830 in York PA, died in 1881 in Van Meter IA, looking for any connection with him. DOYLE, Sarah, came to North Dakota in late 1800's with several of her children to homestead. Her husband William Thomas Doyle died in Canada. Sarah died in 1887 in Langdon N.D. Any information would be welcome and I will gladly share anything that might be helpful to anyone else.
