Updated September 6, 2000

I'm fairly new to the genealogy game, started off as a simple amusement but I think I might be hooked.
Started off with my kids and made it back to my Great Grandfather who arrived in New York circa 1856 from Norfolk England. Family rumor states that his father served in the British army under Sir John Moore at the Battle of Coruna and later under Arther Wellsley (Duke of Wellington) at Waterloo.
My father has a small brass (?) mechanical pencil dated 1794 that was reportedly used by my Great Great Grandfather.

Managed to get back about the same distance on the wife's side of the family also. Starting to run out of all the easy parts of running down relatives and their connections.
