Mairose's in America

This is a quick start on a web site to provide information on the MAIROSE (MAYROSE, MEIROSE) surname. I will be updating this site periodically as new information becomes available. The family history I have gathered is very broad and includes more than Mairoses. In all, there are over 25,000 names. I am aware there is some data that is incorrect but this will be corrected as more authoratative sources are found. Much of the information I have has been gathered by family and relatives and mostly from memory. Therefore, some of this information may be incorrect. I have been to Germany to gather additional information but the link to Germany is still somewhat missing. I think the spelling of the name has changed over the years but do not have a definitive trace on that yet.
Most of the family is located in South Dakota. There are other Mairose's in Kentucky and Ohio that have not been linked with my family. Most of my research is focussed on trying to make that link. However, I think that link will need to be made through German records.
