My name is Gary Majors and I live in Lake Jackson, Texas (SoutheastTX). The surnames that I am researching are as follows: Majors/Major, Neeley/Neely, Rodgers, Smith. It seems that my line of the Majors family moved to Texas in the 1890's from Alabama. They came to Alabama from the Pendleton District of South Carolina. I believe, but haven't proven that they were from Virginia before that.
