William Daniel Fentress, age 50, died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday in a Houston hospital, Aug. 26, 1979. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 28 in Houston, Texas for his many friends and loved ones there, then bringing him home to be laid to rest in Concord Cemetery, Waco, Texas. Funeral was held on August 29, 1979 for family and lifetime friends of Waco. Rev. Ivan Kerr officiating. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fentress, mother, Letha Darr and step-father, Horace Darr of 1937 Post Oak, Waco; one daughter, Cindy Fentress; four sons, William Daniel Fentress Jr., Michael Lee Fentress, Rodney D. Fentress and David Scott Fentress of Houston; three sisters, Anna Pearl Moore, Ft. Worth, Doris Fentress, West Columbia, and Mary Makovy, Waco, one grandson, Michael Lee Fentress,Jr., Houston; aunts and uncles. Pallbearers: York, Sam, Leo, Milford, Louie, James Foster of Houston, friends and buddies. Honorary pallbearers: Leo Dennis, Buddie Bottoms, Dr. Bennett and Ray Orsag.

JOSHUA--- William Eugene Harrison Jr., a retired carpenter, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
William Eugene Harrison Jr. was born June 16, 1929, in Waco. He was a Joshua resident for 30 years and retired as a carpenter in 1991. He served in the U.S.Marine Corps during World War 11 and the Korean conflict and was a member of the carpenter's union. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a man's man, a loving father and grandfather, and will be missed greatly.
