On 21 July 1814 Shaderick Collier entered 50 acres of land assigned to him by Hiram Craig assee & lying in the Rich Gap of Walling Ridge Beginning at a large poplar on the East side of Said Ridge thence running so as to include said Gap and all lands on both sides for compliments. Shadrack's survey was for 35 acres.

Be it known that before me, a Justice of the Peace, personally appeared Shadrack Collier Sr. aged 71 years, who being duly cautioned and then sworn in due form of law, states that he is the son and heir of Aaron Collier deceased, who was a Revolutionary War Soldier in the State of Virginia and that he died June 1842 and that his mother, named Elizabeth Collier died June 1830 and that they were married in the year 1770 and that they were residents of Grayson County in the State of Virginia and that they resided there forty years, and that he resided in Carroll County Virginia.

Edith Collier appears on the Lee County, VA tax lists for 1827-1830. On 18 July 1826 Eady Hardy had a survey of 50 acres of land which surrounded Shadrack Collier's 35 acres on three sides.
