Find Family

* The Britt---Mann Families.......Past and present*

Updated September 5, 2000

My wife and I are researching our families journey through this mortal world.Her family starts at Hog Swamp,North Carolina with Lamuel(Lemuel)Britt.It is believed he migrated from Ireland and was born in 1719.Names in her family tree include:Britt..Knowles..Lamb...Barnes..Stone..Mayes..Parker...Stephens...and so it goes,on and on.Most of these have been researched in the state of North Carolina.She was lucky enough to find a book on the Britts of North Carolina and it has been very helpful in our work.My side of the research of my family is less detailed because I couldn't find a book to copy info from.Mine starts with David Mann (1812)and by all indications it was in the Pennsylvania,Maryland,West Virginia area.I was connected to the Kelley clan by my Mother,starting with Thomas Kelley (1812)and his parents migrated from Kilkenny County,Ireland.A very few of the names on my side are:Bohrer..Stotler(Statler)..Peer...Miller..Benton..Barbour..Crane..McCusker..and so on and so on.. We have connections to the L.D.S.Church (members)and we have access to their files and information.My wife enjoys this and devotes more time than I do,but so far we have dug up NO skeletons on MY side of the family.If we can be of any help we would enjoy working with you on your search for your Roots.Bless the children for they shall continue the journey..........
