Notes for J
OHN LOTT , SR.:
John1 Lott; born circa 1700 (Since this John is assumed to be the father of the John born about 1720, he must have been born by this date or before); married Elizabeth Joyner, daughter of John Joyner and Elizabeth Brown, circa 1719 (Elizabeth Joiner was a sister of Solomon and Absalom who were contemporaries of John "the elder" of Edgecombe Co., therefore, she is assumed to be the wife of this John); married Emile (--?--) before 1778 (said on 22 Jan 1778, his widow Emile stated that her husband had died and she was petitioning for 72 acres or thereabouts on the Tombecky River, and 80 acres was granted to the daughter of the deceased above Mobile) (Mary A. This one would have to be born by 1700 for that to be the case). He executed a deed on 28 Sep 1754 Cohera River, Duplin Co., NC (said John Lott 200 ac on n side) (Hofman, Colony of North Carolina, p 338.).
