Welcome to the George Family & Their Ties in Missouri. Some of the names I am researching are Adelman, Cheesebrow (Chesebrough), Taylor, Rhodes, Burner, Keyser, Hayes, Stickney, Arthur, True, Robohn, Chabrier, Vidal, Sampson, Crass, Cross, Mancini, Leggio, DiBenedetto, Santucci, Baglieri and others. The George's migrated to Missouri from Fauquier County, Virginia. The Taylors originated in Virginia as well, but migrated by way of Kentucky to Missouri. Our Adelman line is of German Catholic heritage, but we don't know where they were from in Germany. The Cheesebrows are English and lived in Stonington, New London, Connecticut, later some members migrating to Minnesota. Our Mancini line originated in the village of Pizzone in Abruzzi, Italy (now in Molise). The Leggio & Baglieri's came to America in the early 1900s from Ragusa Ibla, Sicily |
