| I am researching the Mank/Mink family. My husband's grandfather was Grover Mank , born 1898 in Lawrenceco. Ill. His parents were William Mank and Rosa Edna Thackara. William Mank changed his name from Mink to Mank when he moved to Illinois. We do not know why, but he had a brother George W. and Joseph that kept the Mink name. They were born Tennessee, William we believe was born JohnW.Mink in 1864 . George was born in 1870. There parents were James Mink and Ardelia Cardwell. they lived in Smith Co. Tn . in 1870"s and 1880's. If anyone has info let me know. |
