The Michael Norbert Mangold Family Home Page

I am researching my ancestory through several means. So far, I have been able to trace the Mangold line through a John Mangold who came over to the United States before the Civil War and served in the war as a male nurse from Ohio in the Siege and Battle of Vicksburg. My mother's mother is a Hennessey. This has been confounding for research because we have found multiple spellings for this surname. We have traced our forefathers to a Michael Henness(e)y who we believe came over from Ireland to New Brunswick, Canada, sometime before his son Stephen was born in 1864. Stephen moved to Wisconsin before my grandmother, Lily Hennessey, was born in 1906 in Shell Lake, WI.
