The Robert Jackson Mangham family of Pike Co., Ga
Solomon Mangham came into Putnman Co., Ga in 1800. One of his several children, Willis Austin Mangham, moved to Pike Co around 1820. He settled there and had several children, one being James Pendleton Mangham. He built a 4 room cabin, in which he raised several children, one being Robert Jackson, whom was my grandfather. He had 23 children. RJM lived in the cabin, and most of his children had children in the cabin. One of his son's, Elmer, got the cabin and land, which he continued to farm and make syrup. There was a syrup mill across the road from the house. I am doing research on RJM's family, trying to record information and locate pictures of this family |
