James MD Mangham of Chambers Co. Alabama

About Our Family Research


James M. Mangham was born January 8, 1824 in or around Butts County Georgia and eventually migrated to Chambers Co. Alabama around 1840. He settled on a tract of land located in the western part of the county near present day Camp Hill. He eventually joined the Cofederate Army and a chapter of the book "O For the Touch of The Vanished Hand" by Dana Mangham is devoted to him and his family.

Other lines in my family include Anderson, Harper, Reynolds, Mangrum, Mangum, Ledbetter, McCoy, Walters, Smith, Conaway
