I'm researching my mother's family name of SIGSBEE. My mother was Margaret Mae SIGSBEE, and she was born in West Frankfort (Franklin Co), KY, on July 14, 1920, and died Sept. 16, 1992, in Kalamazoo (Kalamazoo Co.), Michigan, as Margaret Mae BREEDEN. Her parents were Charles Albert SIGSBEE, and Mary Ollie BEACHUM. My grandfather, Charles Albert SIGSBEE, was born in Earlington, KY, (Hopkins Co.), on Dec 7, 1898, (no birth records kept during that period), and as a child he and his parents, James Albert SIGSBEE and Mary Mertil MASON moved to the State of Illinois. Charles Albert SIGSBEE and his family lived in the vicinity of "LITTLE EGYPT" (southern Illinois). He was a WW-I Veteran. Charles died on June 27, 1941, from injuries caused in a farming accident in Enid, Okalahoma, and is buried in the Enid Cemetery.
I am currently trying to gather as much information as I can on Charles Albert SIGSBEE and his parents, James Albert (J.A.) SIGSBEE and Mary Mertil "Mertie" MASON (birth dates, parentage, etc.,.

I am also researching my paternal family name of BREEDEN. Currently, I'm looking for information on Bryant BREEDEN, who was born Oct, 1772 in Virginia and died April 7, 1855 in Harrison Co. Indiana. He was married to Christina BIRD in Tennessee. They had 9 children, John, Catherine, Bryant,Jr., James, David, Jacob Bird Breeden, Martha Breeden, Philip, and Rebecca. Any information you might have regarding Bryant BREEDEN's parents and/or siblings would be greatly appreciated.

I am hoping that someone will be able to assist me in my search of knowledge of my family "roots". Thank you very much for visiting my Home Page. I am willing to share any information I might have that would assist anyone in their genealogical search.
