Hickey's, James and MaryAnn (Nolan), immigrated from Co. Cork, Ireland (Sherkin Island) in 1868 (approx.) Their children were: Anna "Annie"(Raycraft), Margaret "Maggie" (Park), James E., Daniel, Loretta "Etta", Kathryn "Kate" (Daver), MaryAnn "Mame"(Donovan), Nora (McStocker), Patrick J.
They ranched in Carson Valley, later moving to San Francisco.
James E. married Mary Lange of Gardnerville, NV. She was the daughter of Heinrich "Henry" Lange and Sophia "Sophie" Kammerman, both of whom immigrated from Germany. They owned and operated a ranch in Carson Valley, later turning it over to their son Henry Jr. and moved "into town". Their children were Mary (Hickey), Henry Jr.-married Amy Wyatt, William "Lych", and Fredrick. They had a daughter Frieda, who died at two years of age.
