I am seraching for the Arcesi's. My great-grandfather, Antonio Arcesi, left Italy in 1905 to come to America. His wife Mary?? came approximately 10 years later. Together they had a son named Ignacious while in Italy. After Mary came to America she gave birth to, Louis, Loretta, Johnny, and Josephine. She died giving birth to her sixth child. Antonio's mother's name was Maria and she taught young girls how to sew in Italy. The Arcesi name was spelled different in Italy. Some of the possible spellings were, Arcese, Arcesis and Acresse. In a letter Antonio wrote to Ignacious in 1906, Antonio mentioned that Ignacious had an Aunt Antonia. I'm not sure if Antonia was on Antonio or Mary's side. Also Antonio told of living high on the mountian and on a clear day you could see the Sea. (I'm assuming that was in Sezze). My search for my ancestors brings me to the Sezze and Roma Areas. I would appreciate any information on the Arcesi's and I would be happy to share any of the information I currently have.
