* Leaves of the Maples Tree- The Maples Family*

Updated December 8, 2005

I am Steven Lee Maples a great, great, great, great, great grandson of William C. Maples and Nancy Long, both died in Alabama. One of their sons, (George?)Isaac Maples and wife Elizabeth (Betsy) Moon are my great, great, great, great grandparents. I have many descendents of Isaac and Elizabeth Maples, which as I understand it; are a big missing piece of the puzzel for many people who research the Maples family. I have land records from the Lafayette County, MS Couthouse in Oxford, MS that prove that Isaac and Elizabeth owned land here in Lafayette County, MS where I live. I have compiled enough information to fill an old Sears Cataloge. I have many old tin type photo's of the first Maples Family in Lafayette County, MS and many of their descendents.
