The Barry Marston Family Home Page

I'm researching numerous families of Owen Co. Ky. Some of these have connections to Bourbon, Carroll, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Henry, Madison, and Scott Counties in Ky. Many of these families have roots in Virginia (Culpeper, Essex, Middlesex Cos. etc.) and/or North Carolina. At the present time I'm most interested in the Ayres and Marston Families. Some of my additional families of interest are: Beatty, Bennett, Campbell, Eads, Gardner, Hammond, Hunter, Kemper, Layton, McPherron, Perkins, Robinson, Russell, Shirley, Vineyard, and Wallace.

• C. C. Ayres & wife Sarah Thornton Ayres (25 KB)
  Christopher Columbus Sanford Bradford "Lum" Ayres (1834-1913) and his wife lived in Owen County, Kentucky. He was the son of Lewis Ayres of Poplar Grove Ky in Owen County. He became a champion fiddle player. They were my great great grandparents.

  James Thomas Paschal "Pack" Ayres (1828-1910)was a brother of Christopher C. Ayres. He was nearly seven feet tall and could outrun a horse! He served in the Confederacy as a messenger.
