The following provided by Jose G. Perez on February 26, 2000:
Dońa María del Carmen Benejam, was born on the 17th of July in 1788 and baptized on the 30th of July in 1788 in the Catedral de San Juan. The godparents were don Juan Díez de Barrios and Francisca de la Cruz Santana; witnesses were don Juan Roldán and Francisco Basán. She was confirmed on the 5th of November in 1788 in the Catedral de San Juan. The godmother in the confirmation was dońa Isabel Nogues. She married on the 27th of March in 1803 in the Catedral de San Juan to don Francisco Morales, born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, son of don Miguel Morales and dońa Juliana Francisca Pérez. Dońa María del Carmen Benejam was buried on the 19th of July in 1827 in San Juan (continue in family 22).

Married at the Catedral de San Juan by Presbiteriao Don Nicolas Ruiz y Pena were: Don Francisco Morales born in Santa Cruz, Tenrife, Canary Islands, Spain and Carmen Benejam Vasquez born in San Juan Puerto Rico. They are the children of Don Miguel Morales y Dona Juliana (Francisca) Perez and Don Jose Benellan y Dona Anastasia Vasquez. The witnesses were: D. Francisco de Torres, Calletano Rodriguez, Jose Alvarez.

At the time of the marriage, Don Francisco Morales was in the Second Branch of of the Fourth Company of the Infantry Regiment at the Plaza of San Juan.
