He died at the age of 70 and was buried on the 11th of July in 1822 in San Juan, Puerto Rico in the Cementerio de Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis. He was known as "El Mahonés" the one from Mahon. He married Anastasia VÁSQUEZ on the 7th of May 1785 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Witnesses of the marriage were: Don Juan Roldán, Miguel Orillana and others present. He was buried on the 11th of July in 1822 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He died at age 70. He was also known as Jose Venellan, Joseph Benellan and Jose Benejam Marques.
