In the baptism of his son Joseph the title "sen", an abbreviation for "Sčnyer", a title given to farmer workers. He was also known as Juan Rafael Benejam. He died on November 27, 1674. He married Elisabet SEGUINA on the 20th of April in 1620 in Ciutadella, Minorca. At the time of his marriage his father Antonio was deceased and his mother was Francisca Abrines. The marriage ceremony took place in the home of his wife. The witnesses were: Constantino Arguimbau and Juan Martorell.
While Joan Benejam is the father of Joseph Benejam, his mother is shown as Isabel Gorrias on his wedding certificate indicating his father, Joan was married twice. His prior wife, Elisabet Seguina, is the mother of Joseph.
