iii. The Chancel (presbítero) don Pedro de Aran baptized in 1769 in the Catedral de Santo Domingo. He was Chancel Treasurer (presbítero tesorero) of the Santuario de Higüey and author of the novel "Novena a Nuestra Señora de Altagracia", first printing in the Dominican Republic (dominicano). He immigrated to Havana after the takeover of the French. On the 1st of July in 1807 there appears Pedro Aran Morales receiving the title of Canon (título de canongía) in the Catedral de Salta, Argentina (Catálogo XX: Títulos de Indias, 1954).
