1. JOHN¹ SADLER was born Abt. 1751 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and died in Davidson County, Tennessee. He married JANNET MCCULLOCH Bef. April 21, 1772, daughter of WILLIAM MCCULLOCH and ELIZABETH NEEL.

Notes for JOHN SADLER:
In 1767, Seven Sadler brothers migrated from England to the American Colonies, and settled in New York and one them moved to Virginia.

It is believed John Sadler is this Southern Sadler, who can be traced to North & South Carolina, and then to Station Camp Creek, Sumner County, Tennessee.

John Sadler had two sons; Henry Sadley Sadler, who has descendants in Davidson, Jackson, Hamilton, Macon, Putnam & Smith Counties of Tennessee. The other son William Kincaid Sadler had 3 sons who migrated to Coryell County, Texas. When the Sadlers migrated to Tennessee it was frontier and they had trouble with indians.

John Sadler settled near Granville, Jackson County, Tennessee about 1800, or earlier (1785). John assisted in establishing the Concord C. Presbyterian Church on Michael Williamson's place (Michael called Father Williamson). Michael Williamson may have been father to Martha "Patsy" Williamson Sadler, wife of William Kincaid Sadler.
