There are two Michael Knapp(s), who appear in the Ohio Cesus of 1850 and 1900. The Michael Knapp of Portage County was born April 1833 to Peter and Barbara Knapp in Darmstadt, Strknb, Hessen. (Source: The Church of Latter-day Saints, International Genealogical Index, Batch # 538374, Page # 74, Ordinance # 84903). Michael's wife is Catherine born May 1824, and both are residing in Ravenna Township in 1900 Census. The 1850 Census shows this 17 year old Michael residing with his parents in Randolf, family # 482 and dwelling # 492 Page 869.

Item 1: It is my will that all my just debts be paid.
Item 2: It is my will that when I get down sick in bed my daughter Catharine Ewing, shall receive compensation for her care and labor in caring for me.
Item 3: It is my will that all my property both personal (if any) and real estate be sold by my executor hereinafter named, make deed or deeds, to purchaser or purchasers, for the same and after all my debts and funeral expenses are paid, what then remains of my said estate shall be equally divided among all my children; namely: Charles Knapp, George M. Knapp, Catharine Ewing, Frederick Knapp, Emma Graf, and Louis J. Knapp, share and share alike.
Item 4: I hereby nominate and appoint my son-in-law Charles Graf, my executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony where of, I have here unto set my hand, this 5th day of September in the year 1916.
