All the children of Rufus James Sanders and Mary "Mamie" Cassea Roberts attended and finished school in Taft, Texas. The Sanders Family built the first residence in Taft, when the city of Taft was put on the market and lots sold at auction on June 21, 1921, all the Taft Ranch was sold on that day.
