A February 19, 1968 letter from Ruth Sadler Welborn to her son Jim states that James Valentine Sadler's wife, Bevaline Dixon, claimed her mother was an "O'Rour(c)ke."
Ruth in an undated, circa 1990 letter to Stephany Sadler Madsen, said that Burt O'Rour(c)ke wa "my grandmother's first cousin."

"Cousin Bert O'Rourke" who bothe John And Ruth Sadler can remember and describe as a blue-eyed, red-haired man with hairy arms and a hooked nose.

BURIAL SITE:

The Chattanooga Memorial Park is three miles north of Chattanooga. Follow Dayton Pike north to White Oak turning to right east on Memorial Drive to cemetery. In 1924 the Chattanooga Memorial Park took over what was then known as White Oak Cemetery, and all the old marked graves were moved from Hill City to White Oak.

C.N. SADLER DIES, RETIRED MINISTER
Active in Methodist Church for Thirty Years
To Hold Funeral Today

The Rev. C.N. Sadler, 70, widely known Methodist minister, died Monday afternoon at his home, 5024 Sunnyside Avenue, St. Elmo.
He was active in the ministry for almost thirty years and served many appointments. He was a member of Holston conference. He retired seven years ago. He was born August 9, 1860, at Lafayette, Tennessee. His wife, Mrs Adeline Sadler, died five years ago.
Surviving the Rev. Mr. Sadler are two sons, W. H., of Jackson, Tenn., and J.S. Sadler, this city, and a daughter, Mrs. J. M. Rutherford, also of Chattanooga, and a brother, P. H. Sadler, of Gamaliel, Ky.
Funeral services, conducted by the Revs. J. A. King and W.S. Neighbors, will be held in St. Mark's M. E. church at 3 o'clock this afternoon, followed by interment in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be W. B. McDowell, Ed L. Turner, H. M. Hill, Tom Keif, L. H. Runyon and J. V. Trotter. Pallbearers are asked to meet at Wann's on Georgia Avenue at 2:15 this afternoon.

Mrs. Adiline Sadler

Mrs. Adiline Sadler, aged 65, wife of the Rev. C.N. Sadler, died at her residence, 5024 Sunnyside, St. Elmo, last night, after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, two sons, W.H., of Jackson, Tennessee, and J.S., of Chattanooga; one daughter, Mrs. J. M. Rutherford, of this city, and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. J. N. Sadler, and several grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. mark's church Friday morning at 10 o'clock, the Revs. J. E. Wolfe and L. D. Hamil officiating. Interment Chattanooga Memorial park.
