The Sadler Family

In 1767, Seven Sadler brothers migrated from England to the American Colonies, and settled in New York and one of them moved to Virginia.

It is believed John Sadler is perhaps two generations removed from these 7 immigrants. Current opinion (not fact as of yet) has John coming from Virginia and being related to the Thomas Sadler line that later migrated to Tennessee and Alabama. John Sadler can be traced to North & South Carolina, and then to Station Camp Creek, Sumner County, Tennessee.

DOCUMENTED EVENTS OF JOHN SADLER; IN TIME SEQUENCE:

July 1768 John Sadler witnessed a deed (involving Richard Sadler [ by implication, he should have been at least 18 at this time and possibly literate]) It is also speculated that Richard Sadler maybe his father. This Richard Sadler was born in 1733 in England, his wife Jane born him a son named David on 31 August 1762 in Pennsylvania. Richard resided in South Carolina across the N.C. border from John.
