I'm descended from Captain William and Nancy Hendricks McCormick on my father's side. I have Nancy's ancestors back to the 600's. William and Nancy were married in Virginia. They settled primarily in Tennessee although William was a restless spirit with an adventurous soul. On my mother's side, I'm descended from Obadiah and Martha Blankenship Fulks/Fults/Fultz. Their descendants have originated in the Carter County, Kentucky, area. Other names I'm researching include Lee, Burnett, and Livingston in Tennessee, and O'Daire, Rouse, and Berry in Kentucky. I'll soon begin researching my husband's Tennessee lines which include Fish and Bates. I'm interested in corresponding with descendants from any of the lines I'm researching. I'd love to swap information, and I'll be glad to help out any new researchers. |
