3. HANNAH² KINISON (EDWARD¹) was born April 19, 1718 in Chester Co., PA, and died Abt. 1760 in Orange Co., NC Rocky River Cemetery Chatham. She married GEORGE HOBSON August 08, 1732 in Burlington, Co., NJ ³.

Notes for HANNAH KINISON:
"On 10-18-1732 of the Women's Monthly meeting it is recorded: Hannah Kinison now Hopson [sic] spoken to but declines to make (tight binding, the rest is missing, but is probably the words "an ack" (acknowledgement). The Women record on 12-9-1732/3, "Hannah Hopson's [sic] testimony not read to her because of her removal." The Monthly Meeting notes for 31-6-1732, "Reported Hannah, daughter of Edward Kinison married out of unity to one of another society. Evan Lewis, Lewis Rees, and Cadwalader Jones with overseers of Goshen appointed to deal with her father for indulging said Hannah who is settled in a very remote place. Continued."
"We know from the decendants of Hannah Kennison that she and her husband George Hobson did indeed move to Frederick County, Virginia. About 1756 they moved to Orange Co., North Carolina where Hannah had some second thoughts about having left the Friends. She asked to become a member once again and this is reflected in the Goshen Women's meeting records on 2-16-1756, "Hannah Kinnison alias Hobson formerly disowned now makes acknowledgement & requests Certificate to Cane Creek in Carolina: one signed at this meeting.". --via notes from Phyllis Bauer 4-2000
