In John's will he leaves his "looms and keys" to his daughter Nancy. The evaluation of William's estate lists both wool and flax looms as well asseveral head of sheep. Linen weaving was the main cottage industry in the Northern Counties of Ireland. There are several Hendren's listed in an 1850 census of Co.
