No 27. William Redding Senr Will
  In the name of God amen I Wm Redding Senr of the County
of Wilkes and State of Nort Carolina being of sound mind
and memory calling to mind uncertainty of the mortal life have
made this my last wil and Testament.  Item  I give and bequeath
to my loving wife Delphia Redding my hole Estate of whatever
kind or nature together with my land and plantation whereon
I now live during her lifetime or widowhood with the execption
of two young colts which I give two daughters ToWit namely
Mahaly ??? & Rebecca ??? To my son Ambrose Redding I give
One dollar also I give John Redding One dollar also I give
George Redding One dollar also I give Alfred Redding One 
dollar also my son William ??? son Alfred One dollar
my reason for so doing believing I have given those mentioned
above those sho?? of my Estate I give unto my daughter
Polly Brown after the death of my wife Delphia Redding
all that portion of land lying on the south side of the Creek
where it now runs, The balance of my lands and all my personal
property whatsoever at the death of my wife Delphia Redding
is to be equally divided between my three daughters namely
Mahala Redding, Rebecca Redding & Nancy Welborn share
and share alike given to them and their heirs for ever and
finally I appoint Joel A Wellborn my excutor of this my
last will and Testament revoking disanuling all other
Wills made by me in Witness hereof I have set my hand
and seal this 9th day of May this written in the year
1853.                           his
