Farmer, lumberman, teacher and Justice of the Peace. Dexter, ME archives record him as a teacher there. He lived at Madison, Pittsfield, Millinocket, Medway, and Mattawamkeag, ME. He has a tomb inscription in the Martin Cem. at Mattawamkeag. The family keeps their own archival records, supported by the Censuses of 1820-1850 of Madison & Matta.
He taught school in Dexter (Dexter archives) before moving to Indian Township #1.

They must have had other children between 1815 and her death in 1830, but the records have not been found. Susan's aunt was the tragic but incredibly resilient Abigal (Abbott) Bailey, who suffered and finally survived an unbelievable cruel and abusive marriage to Major Asa Bailey, and had 17 children.
