!RELIGION-BIOGRAPHY:Quaker, called "Uncle Billy" William Williams left Greensfork, Randolph, IN in 1855 by oxteam. They crossed the Mississippi at Dubuque and took up land near La Porte City, Blackhawk, IA in Spingerk Twp. Other possibility (Family moved from Wayne Co, IN to Black Hawk Co.,Iowa 1854.) The early William's ancestors came from England and settled at Beards Hatter Shop, , NC. They lived there at the time of the Revolutionary War . In 1806 they came to Greensfork, , IN near Richmond, IN.
