Massingill,Born in Rabun County, Georgia Decemeber 15, 1845 to who we believe is a Robert and Susanna Marsingill.(her maiden name is unknown at the moment) This is not a definate connection to Robert Marsongill,Marsingill,Marsengill,Massongill,Massingill So far all of James' ancestors have been in Georgia.. but if this truely is Bailey father then he was born in North Carolina in the early 1814 to 1816 by an 1850 census of Rabun County, Georgia In the 1850 Census of Rabun County, Georgia, we found the following.. "age10 Male Robert"age8male David B.(h or D) Marsongill age6 male Dougherty Marsongill age3 male We learn that Robert Marsongill remarried a Mary F.Price married March 18, 1852... Robert died between 1852 and 1860.. children of Robert and Mary F. Massingill are as follows.. Granville C. Marcengill This is all we know abt Robert Marsongill. we would like more information on this Massingill family... I have the book " Massengills, and Massengales and Variants" by Samuel Evans Massengill, M.D. I n this book is a letter from one Granville C. Marcengill stating that he had 7 half brothers. I also would love to have any of the information of the siblings of Granville, orany information that would be helpful to make adefinate connect of Bailey D.
