Obituary
"Arthur Johnson, Fennville
Arthur Leon Johnson, 72, of Douglas, died suddenly Wednesday morning while at work on the Walter Robbins farm, route 1 Fennville, of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 4, 1892, in Clyde township. He had lived his entire life in this area expept for 13 years which he spent in Seattle, Wash. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Rainier Valley post 139 of the American Legion in Seattle. Survivors include his widow, Vivian; a son, Maxfield of Seattle; a sister, Mrs Marie Severens of Fennville; a half-brother, Raymond Rasmussen of Douglas; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nelsy Johnson, Sept. 6 of this year. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chappell funeral home. The Rev. Henry Alexander, pastor of the Ganges Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Fennville cemetery."
