Notes for James Martin: James MARTIN, married to Elizabeth Burns, was said to have had three children from a previous marriage, who included a son John and a daughter Mary. The two sons and Mary's husband were alleged to have been mariners lost at sea. It is probable that Mary MARTIN, William's baptismal sponsor was James' daughter by the previous marriage.
