He married CELIA PERRY December 24, 1844 in Meigs County, TN, daughter of JAMES PERRY and RUTH. She was born June 06, 1829 in Tennessee, and died September 28, 1883 in Laclede, Missouri.

Levin Stokes Caffey was born Dec 4 1819 in NC, child of Thomas Coffey and Sarah Stokes. In 1844 Meigs County, TN he married Celia Perry. Later, he moved to Laclede County, MO.
I have basic information, dates and such, from the LDS. Interested in writing descendants to earn more about family. Laclede County History says Levin fought for Union, but brother and father fought for Confederacy from neighboring Webster County. Interested in knowing about family history.. not just dates. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Buried in Salem Cemetary, Laclede Co., MO. Source: James Willhite.: During Civil War, enrolled in Co. A, 73rd Regiment, Missouri Militia (Union Forces) at Lebanon,MO. on 1 May, 1864.. Leven and Celia Caffey were charter members of the old Salem Presbyterian Church. They are buried in the secluded old Salem Cemetary grounds. Source: 'Laclede County History' vol 1
